I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on that might be useful to folks thinking about the role of AI in higher ed—especially in the Humanities. I run a YouTube channel called AI for the Humanities, where I explore how generative AI is changing the way we teach, research, and create—and how humanistic thinking can help us better understand and shape this technology.
The channel includes practical demos of AI tools (LLMs, image/video/song generators, etc.) and how I use them in my own classes for writing support, creative assignments, and classroom activities. I also post regular news roundups with commentary on what the latest AI updates, controversies, and regulations mean for humanities educators.
You’ll also find videos created by my graduate and undergraduate interns, who explore everything from Claude and Perplexity to Suno and Midjourney, showing how these tools can be used in Humanities classes.
If you’re teaching or researching in this space, I’d love for you to check it out and share it with your Humanities colleagues.
I’m also looking for collaborators! If you’re experimenting with AI in your teaching or scholarship and want to co-create content or just brainstorm ideas, please reach out. Always excited to connect.
Best,
Meghan
